Stonekeeper is the former main antagonist from Smallfoot. He is the Chief of Yetis Village and the father of Meechee and Thorp. He is voiced by Common.

Development[]

Plot[]

When Migo came to his village in panic and told them about seeing an Smallfoot (Human), his village was in uproar. To calm them down, Stonekeeper told them that Migo didn't actually see a Smallfoot, but, rather, was just confused. Although most of the village was convinced, Meechee was not. She tried to reason with her father, but he didn’t listen. He then proceeded to tell Migo that, according to the stones of truth, there’s no such thing as a Smallfoot, and asked him if he was denying the truth. Migo confirmed his denial of this supposed truth, which resulted in Stonekeeper banishing him, claiming that he could rejoin the village when he came to his senses.

Later on, when he saw Migo, Meechee, and their friends enter the village, asked Migo if he had stopped believing in the Smallfoot, only for Migo show that he was right about the Smallfoot by revealing Percy. Stonekeeper was upset that his village had stopped working, instead opting to learn more about the Smallfoot from Percy and even becoming innovative, making art and inventing new things. However, despite his frustration, Meechee managed convince him to discuss the situation with Migo.

After sending Thorp to tell Migo that he wanted to see him, he then led Migo down a flight of secret stairs under the mountain and told him through a rap (Let it Lie) about how the yetis used live below the “clouds” (which were actually steam, generated by the yetis’ daily chores) before encountering humans who mercilessly hunted them, leading them to seek safety at the top of the mountain. He concluded by explaining to Migo that humans were dangerous and that he had only hid the truth to protect the village.

Out of fear, Migo then lied to his people by claiming to have lied about the Smallfoot, as per Stonekeeper's prior instruction. When Meechee tried to protest, he sent her to her room, then placed Percy in a box, where he planned to leave him to die of altitude sickness.

The next morning, after Migo crashed into Meechee’s room with the help of Dorgle’s catapult, Migo and Stonekeeper both realized that Meechee had decided to take Percy back home.

After Migo, Gwangi, and Kolka also left to save Meechee, Stonekeeper realized the errors of his ways and also jumped off of the mountain to save them, which he succeeded at after throwing the stones on his robe at an oncoming helicopter.

After everyone was safe thanks to Percy’s sacrifice, Stonekeeper let Migo reveal the truth to the village, after which the steam generator was shut off and Migo showed the other yetis the world that had been previously hidden by the “clouds”. Led by Migo, the yetis all arrived at the Smallfoot town, where police proceeded to form a shield around the citizens. Luckily, Percy and Brenda encouraged the other humans to welcome the Yetis to their town, further proving that not all humans are bad.
